His email message:
A book was written about this school. It is famous!!!
So many people have been screwed over by the owner of *****'s school: salary not paid in full and/or paid late, tax not paid, revengetaken upon them when they leave, etc.
This school is a revolving door for teachers and ***** is just one of MANY teachers who has been messed about over the many years it has been open.
"Leaving Satit Wittaya" and anything else about "Khun Sombat" who is "Hellbitch" in this thread. [link] The school was once an up-and-coming educational insitution and even won an award years ago, but the school has gone from a lot of students to hardly any students all pretty much due to the crazy bird who owns the place.
(Please note that the author of the book changed the name of the school. I have tried to post a warning about the real school he was writing about in the "School Talk" section when someone was asking about info about this school, but my post at the time I am writing this is still waiting to be approved.) Now that I have left Thailand, I am not afraid to post the truth online about this horrid place that is a trap for teachers.
I read the chapters of this book available on google books (you can't read the whole thing, just certain chapters.) The author's descriptions are flawless. Although this guy probably didn't have an experience as harrowing as mine, it seems he dealt with many of the same things as I did. He actually pulled through and worked there for a while. According to the chapters I read he did break his contract by quitting early, but I think he was there for almost a year. I can't imagine working at Chatrwittaya for a whole year! At least not now. As the email message above says, the school is not what is used to be.
It's not just me trying to warn everybody about this school. I think it's time that Chatrwittaya school gets proper exposure. I don't know much about the Ministry of Education in Thailand, but I'm guessing one visit from them would have this school shut down in a heartbeat, as it should be.
