More threats

To my surprise, Mrs. Rosjan is still pursuing this matter.  She's hired somebody from a Thai law firm.  He's contacted me to let me know that he is watching this blog and the thread on the ajarn forums.  Here is the letter I received both in email and snail mail:

Our law firm has been retained by Khun Wanwipa rosjan on behalf of herself and Chatrwittaya School due to your publications in the Ajarn Forum/ECC "blog" both during and after your residency in Thailand as well as your contacts with the parents of students enrolled at the Chatrwittaya School.

On behalf of our Clients you are advised that although US laws recognize a limited "freedom of speech", Thai laws are somewhat stricter when it comes to derogatory statements and the usage of profanity against anyone, whether they are Thai citizens or other, residing in Thailand.

This is to advise you to cease and desist from any and all further derogatory and profane blog activity(ies) as they are and have been, in violation of Thai Criminal Code(s), Section(s) 326 and 328 (which can be combined pursuant to Section 91) and as such our Clients retain the sole right to file criminal as well as a civil action for damages, against you whether you are in the United States, back in Thailand or both.

By and through your "blog" statements it appears that you desire to return to Thailand to work, either as a teacher or other, at which time should you not adhere to our advice you just might find yourself being "detained" for more than the three days you've already been held previously by (Thai) Immigration Department.

Be governed accordingly,
blah, blah, blah

There was also a second page with some information with the Thai laws that I supposedly violated.  To the lawyer who is monitoring this blog, why don't you go ahead and leave a comment explaining how STEALING a foreigner's passport doesn't violate Thai law.

This blog is not coming down, unless you can figure out someway to censor it.  Good luck filing criminal charges against me.
